Rampant Lions annihilate hapless Wolves

The Emirates Lions ran in a whole 14 tries on their way to thrashing Japan’s Sunwolves 94-7 in a Vodacom Super Rugby match at the Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg on Saturday, in what was the two teams’ first match after the June international break.
The Lions, led out of the tunnel by vice-captain, Jaco Kriel, didn’t show too many signs of missing their regular captain, Warren Whiteley, who missed the match due a serious groin injury, which was reported that it will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
The win for Johan Ackermann’s men means they are now just two points behind New Zealand’s BNZ Crusaders on the overall log with a match to go, which will be away to the Cell C Sharks in two weeks’ time, while the Crusaders will visit the defending champions, Hurricanes, in Wellington on the same day.
