The Mayor of Ekurhuleni councillor Mzandile Masina and his team in the next two days will be visiting Springs to tackle issues of service delivery in the area through Siyaqhuba programme.
This programme was established shortly after the fifth administration took over the metro, with the purpose of fast tracking delivery of basic needs to communities across the city of Ekurhuleni. Some of the places that have been visited include Kempton Park, Vosloorus and Germiston.
Through this initiative residents are given a platform to voice out their issues and concerns regarding service delivery, such as potholes, street lights and grass cutting.
Mayoral spokesperson Gugu Ndima says “the visit in Springs is about largely about tackling government abandoned buildings as well as all the potholes in the city”.
