Furniture Store burgled twice in 3 days – Guards Arrested

Heidelberg Detectives arrested three Security Guards for Business burglaries after Bradlows Furniture Shop was burgled twice in three days.

On 28-29 March 2017 during the night, the Bradlows Furniture Shop at Voortrekker Street in Heidelberg town was broken into through the back door.

The burglar and roller doors were cut-off with cutting torch. Suspects gained entry into the shop.

Suspects took six Flat screen Televisions, two His first system, Mattress Prot, Univa Hob, with an estimated value of R43 884.32

On 01-02 April 2017 during the night, Heidelberg Bradlows Furniture Shop was broken to again through the roof. The roof zinc was cut-off open and suspects gained entrance. Suspects took 03 x Laptops and 01 X 40cm Sansui Flat screen TV with estimated value of R35 000-00.

Through the information received from the Community and thorough investigations by Captain Senzosenkosi Shabane, Captain Mphegolle Maphutha and Warrant Officer David Moloi lead to the arrest of two Security Guards of Fidelity Guard Security Company and one Security Guard from Impisi Security Services.

The two Security Guards aged 27 and 30 years old respectively from Fidelity Guard Security were arrested whilst on duty on 03 April 2017 in the evening and the Security Guard aged 46 years old from Impisi Security Services was arrested in his home at Obed Nkosi Phase Two in Ratanda Location outside Heidelberg town also on 03 April 2017 in the evening.

The Samsung Mini Hi-Fi System that was taken during Business burglary was found in the house of 46 year old Impisi Security Services.

The Impisi Security Services is responsible for guarding Lesedi Municipality Premises.

The investigation is still containing to apprehend and link other suspects with the Business burglary
